mai1. About these terms
These terms cover the mai iPhone app and its support website, operated by Doan Van Phuong. Contact: doanvanphuong@gmail.com. Read these terms together with the Privacy Policy.
Use mai only if you can enter into this agreement under applicable law. If you need a parent or guardian’s permission, obtain it before use. Nothing here removes rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
2. Using mai
mai provides access to AI image generation and supported image-processing tools through third-party model services. Features, supported inputs, availability, and output quality differ by model. An internet connection is required for online processing.
Use Playground to create with supported models, and save your own copies of work you want to keep. Your creations are not automatically posted to a public gallery.
Before generation or AI input-image upload, mai asks separately for AI-processing permission as explained in the Privacy Policy. Accepting these Terms does not replace that choice. You can decline and continue browsing.
3. Accounts and guest trials
You are responsible for your account credentials and activity. Provide accurate information and do not access another person’s account.
Guest trials are limited, subject to eligible models and device-based usage controls, and are not an unlimited free service. Guest history is device-local and is not guaranteed to survive app removal. Do not bypass trial, security, or usage limits.
4. Purchases and credits
Credit packages are offered through Apple In-App Purchase. Review the product, price, currency, and quantity shown in Apple’s purchase confirmation before buying. Credits are credited to the mai account used for the verified purchase.
Generation costs depend on the model and relevant request settings. Review the displayed cost before generating. Credits are service units for use in mai, not money or an investment, and have no cash value except where applicable law requires otherwise. Do not assume a credit balance will transfer between mai accounts.
Credit purchases require a signed-in account. Consumable credit packages are not a subscription. Keep access to the account used for purchase; deletion removes its balance and account history and does not transfer them to a new account. For purchase or balance concerns, contact support before deleting your account. This does not limit any refund or other rights required by law.
5. Failures and refunds
A credit-paid generation that mai confirms as technically failed is eligible for restoration of its reserved credits. Some failed or delayed jobs take longer to reconcile. Do not assume that an image you dislike, or an AI output that differs from your expectations, is a technical failure.
A return of app credits does not reverse an Apple purchase. Refund requests for Apple-billed purchases are handled through Apple and are subject to Apple’s process and applicable consumer law. Contact support for missing credits or an incorrect deduction.
6. Your inputs and generated outputs
You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit prompts and images, including permission from people whose personal data or likeness you provide. Do not submit private information you are not entitled to share.
You retain rights you already have in your inputs. To provide a request you approve, mai and its service providers process inputs and outputs for generation, storage, safety checks, and support as described in the Privacy Policy. The app obtains separate AI-processing permission before the first generation or AI input upload.
These terms do not grant ownership of third-party material or promise copyright protection, exclusivity, or universal commercial-use rights for AI output. Review the selected model’s applicable terms and licenses before commercial or sensitive use. Outputs can resemble other outputs or contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing them before use.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use mai for unlawful content, child sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate imagery, harassment, fraud, infringement of intellectual-property or privacy rights, or evasion of safety and security measures. Follow the selected provider’s applicable acceptable-use rules.
We may restrict requests or access to address abuse, security risks, legal obligations, or provider restrictions. These rules also apply to guest use.
8. Availability and limitations
AI outputs are probabilistic. We do not guarantee that an output will be accurate, unique, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose. Provider outages and model changes may affect the service.
To the extent permitted by law, the service is supplied on an as-available basis. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a service change affects purchased credits, contact support so we can assess the appropriate resolution under applicable law.
9. Changes and contact
We may revise these terms as the service changes. The published revision date identifies the current version; material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel where required.
